Always on the highest spot

TipTop

A little goat who sees EVERYTHING from up high.

TipTop, a small light gray goat with long brown ears and a whistle, in the middle of a jump.

TipTop is a little light gray goat with long, floppy ears that flap like wings when she jumps. One horn curls and one is straight, and around her neck hangs a silver whistle on a red cord. She's never on the ground for long. Rooftops. Fence posts. The tractor. Even the top of Hazel's head (Hazel giggles). If it's high, TipTop is up there.

From up high, she sees farther than anyone. She's the first to spot the way home, or something strange on a faraway hill. “I see it! I see it!” FWEET!

Waiting? Waiting is the hardest thing in the world for TipTop. She jumps before she looks where she'll land, and sometimes she misses what's right under her nose. Luckily, there's usually a soft pile of hay below, and a friend nearby who sees best up close.

You might be a little like TipTop if…

  • …the highest spot is always the best spot.
  • …waiting feels like forever.
  • …you shout “I see it!” before anyone else has even looked.

For grown-ups

TipTop is pure go: bold, fast and a little impatient, like a little sister who's already halfway up the tree. Her jumps never end in a scrape, only in a soft pile of hay. And her faraway eyes are often what gets everyone home.

Read together, then ask: If you could climb up anywhere, what would you look for?
